recorded nowhere near the comfort of maison blanc bleu this week, but further up the river, somewhere humid and rotting, where the signal cuts in and out and the tape sounds like itβs screaming back at you.
because thatβs what this is really about. not markets, not macro, not the polite theatre of highly paid men explaining the world to each other.
this is about hallucination. consensual, persistent, well-dressed hallucination. narratives repeated until they harden into something that feels like truth, until nobody remembers where the lie began.
and the tape just keeps running. prices moving, people reacting, the whole system grinding forward, not because anyone understands it, but because everyone needs to believe they do.
so how do you survive it. you step back. you refuse the story. you watch what is, not what is said.
the closer you get, the more it consumes you.
and out here, far enough away, you start to see it clearly.
if your an undecided subscriber and this sharpened your thinking, subscribe. share the episode with a friend who loves macro, or leave a comment. whatβs your personal βtruth testβ? a market price that you trust more than headlines?
